French Consulate's Science & Technology Office visit the bluebee® lab
2017-09-26
On September 14, 2017, Siveco China was honored with a visit by officials from the French Consulate's Science and Technology Office to its newly relocated R&D center. The Science and Technology Office of the French Embassy in China is dedicated to bilateral French-Chinese collaborations in Science and Technology.
Siveco China's R&D Center, also known as the bluebee® lab, first opened its doors in 2008. The lab is dedicated to the design and development of innovative software solutions for Asset Management and Risk Prevention, in line with key priorities of the Chinese government under the "China Dream" initiative. Today, major companies such as Baosteel Group, Beijing Environment, Capital Water, Carrefour China, NWS Suez, etc. use bluebee® solutions on a daily basis to ensure the sustainable and safe operations of their critical assets. The only investment made by a foreign firm in this field in China, the R&D center demonstrates Siveco's strong commitment to the local market.
Siveco China's Managing Director Bruno Lhopiteau introduced the company's management and R&D teams, before giving a brief presentation under the theme "Innovating for Industrial Risk Prevention". R&D Director Wang Tao presented an overview of the bluebee® suite of products developed in Shanghai. Gaétan Messin, Head of the Science and Technology Office at the French Consulate, congratulated the team and offered remarks on the critical success factors for innovation in China, commending Siveco's experience.
Questions and answers touched on Siveco's experience dealing with copyright infringement, cooperation with local universities, recent customers successes, government incentives for domestic R&D, and the various awards received by Siveco over the years.
This friendly and fruitful discussion was followed by French Champagne and pastries.
