Siveco releases bluehoney, China's first online training for Maintenance Management
2017-09-27
Training plant personnel on maintenance management best practices in China's fast changing environment has always been a challenge. Siveco's Maintenance in China 2017 survey report shows that more than half of maintenance staff have never received training on maintenance management and methodologies. As the report points out: "who, then, develops and implement good practices?"
Siveco China has in the past 12 years tackled this issue by providing training and coaching as part of the implementation of maintenance management systems. Based on customers' demand and true to its mission of leveraging technologies to improve maintenance management, Siveco has decided to launch an online training platform: bluehoney. Powered by international training group , the online training platform on maintenance management and methodologies is available as a stand-alone cloud-based learning program or integrated in Siveco's bluebee® cloud portal.
The first course, "5 Steps to Maintenance" provides the learner with a deep and practical understanding of all key maintenance concepts, including preventive maintenance and maintenance plan design, asset register and documentation, Work management, as well as Failure analysis and Maintenance performance management. Popular methods (RCM, TPM, …) are explained and integrated into a practical approach to maintenance management that can be immediately put to use in a Chinese plant.
The course content draws on Siveco's successful track record running similar maintenance management training programs for corporate clients in China, including large multisite companies such as Suez NWS, Saint Gobain China, Capital Water, etc. It also builds on the company's academic experience: since 2010, Siveco is a partner of Sino-European School of Technology of Shanghai University, where it runs a course on Industrial Risk Management and Maintenance for MSc students.
According to Guillaume Gimonet, Operations Director at Siveco China: "This online training course is designed to fulfill the needs we have repeatedly come across during our more than 12 years working with hundreds of plants all over China. It ensures, in a practical way, that the fundamentals of maintenance management are understood by the learners and can be immediately applied in the plant. This course is not a translation of a western course mismatched with our Chinese reality, but a true homegrown approach to learning based on "Chinese characteristics", integrating international best practices, modern maintenance concepts, including how to use CMMS technologies as a maintenance improvement tool, in the Chinese context."
The course is 100% in Chinese, presented by maintenance people for maintenance people. It will be released to paid subscribers in May and will be accessible from everywhere in China, on PC and smartphone!
