Siveco China wins another power plant CMMS project with Korea EPCs
2015-08-04
In February 2014, a South Korean consortium of Daewoo International, Hyundai Engineering & Construction and Hyundai Engineering won the order to build a 1,400MW Combined Cycle Power Plant in Oumache, Biskra province, Algeria for the state-owned utility Sonelgaz.
In June 2015, Siveco China was selected to deliver the CMMS for the power plant, including data preparation services in coordination with the EPC and its subcontractors in Korea, and the CMMS software itself, Coswin 8i. The project is ongoing, with back-office maintenance engineering performed at Siveco Shanghai office, regular meetings in Seoul and final delivery onsite in Algeria with Siveco local partner. This is the fifth project signed by Siveco China to support the ambitious Algerian power generation program.
Siveco China has pioneered the concept of implementing the CMMS from the early construction stage of a plant, thus supporting smooth handover from construction to operations and enforcing good maintenance practices from day one. Siveco China has extensive experience working alongside EPC companies and plant owners for energy and utility projects worldwide.
