Korean EPC selects Siveco for power plant CMMS & DMS
2016-12-27
GS Engineering & Construction selected Siveco China to deliver the integrated CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) and DMS (Document Management System) for the 1,266MW Kais Combined Cycle Power Plant in Algeria. The plant is currently under construction by a joint-venture of GS Engineering & Construction and Daelim Industrial in the northeastern province of Khenchela.
Siveco's scope of work includes not only the CMMS & DMS software, but also related maintenance data engineering, so as to deliver immediately usable plant documentation to the owner, Algerian power utility SPE, before start-up. A Korean system integrator will ensure coordination in Seoul and provide hardware. Siveco's certified implementation partner in Algeria will deliver onsite services in the later phase of the project, as well as long-term support.
This is the sixth contract for Siveco China in Korea and the seventh in Algeria. Siveco's involvement in multiple projects helps the plant owner and its EPC suppliers to develop a consistent maintenance strategy across all sites, including analysis reports and KPIs, equipment and spare parts designation, etc. leading to considerable savings in the long term.
