Siveco China is proud to announce it has successfully upgraded its ISO 9001 certification to the latest ISO 9001:2015 version, thus demonstrating its compliance to the highest standards of quality management, for the company's entire scope of business. Siveco China has been ISO 9001 certified since 2015, previously under the 2008 version of the standard. The new ISO 9001:2015 certification was delivered by international firm Bureau Veritas after conducting the two days audit, including half-a-day at a Siveco customer site (Essilor Shanghai plant), in April this year.
Bruno Lhopiteau, Managing Director of Siveco China, commented on the meaning of this certification during the 2018 World Manufacturing Forum held in Hefei, Anhui province, on May 25-26:
"The successful implementation of Maintenance 4.0, Smart O&M or Asset Management (whatever you may want to call it) is so much more than good software plus good people... There are many good software solutions around, many good people in the market place, yet so many "smart" projects never attain their initial objectives. This has become a major concern for companies contemplating digitization projects in China. Since we launched Siveco China in 2004, our focus has been on building a system. A system to capitalize on our vast accumulated experience helping infrastructure projects and plants optimize their asset management, a system to train and coach our team members, a system to ensure quality, stability, reliability in the services we deliver to our clients. Fifteen years down the line, I think the market recognizes the wisdom of our approach and our results speak for themselves."
The exact scope of the Siveco China ISO 9001:2015 certification is: sales, implementation, support, design and development of maintenance management system and related mobile solution; sales and execution of maintenance improvement services. The 2015 version of the ISO 9001 standard puts more emphasis on the context in which the organization operates, on engaging interested parties (not only customers) and on risk-based thinking - all aspects that were already central to Siveco's existing quality system.
