bluebee® cloud receives the Engineers’ Choice Award 2013 by Plant Engineering magazine
2013-11-08
On November 6, 2013 at a major ceremony held in Shanghai, Plant Engineering China magazine announced that Siveco's bluebee® cloud solution had won the Engineers' Choice Award 2013. The competition involved 102 different products and solutions and lasted 2 months, during which readers of Plant Engineering and Control Engineering magazines and websites were requested to vote for their preferred solutions. bluebee® cloud received the highest number of votes in its category and the third highest number of votes in all categories.
According to Bruno Lhopiteau, General Manager of Siveco China:
"We are particularly proud of this award, as it means we have been chosen by real-life engineers rather than a committee of experts. We are also very happy to see the investment we made in R&D paying off with good results, more and more users, and industry awards. In 2008, we made the bet of a technological step-change, developing new solutions – the bluebee® suite "for the worker of tomorrow" – built on totally different premises from traditional maintenance management systems, with a very strong mobility focus. While most management systems are designed to computerize work procedures that can never be applied in the field, especially not in China, bluebee® is designed primarily for field workers. This innovative approach has produced excellent results for our customers in China. I am glad the market is now recognizing this, in the form of this award."
bluebee® cloud is Siveco's central management tool, designed for large multisite organizations. Accessible on large touchscreen display (control center) and on any PC, bluebee® cloud provides powerful built-in management functionalities to display data in maps and charts, manage central technical data, plan and track activities, produce KPIs and management reports, manage mobile devices and integrate seamlessly with other subsystems (GIS, SCADA, video surveillance, site-level CMMS/EAM, etc.). Functional coverage includes risk prevention, maintenance, meter readings, compliance reporting based on data from the field (mobile users and online monitoring). In 2012, bluebee® the mobile component of the bluebee® suite, also won a Plant Engineering award, the Product of the Year 2012 award.
