Successful utilization of web-based COSWIN 7i to manage Greece’s Olympics infrastructures
Siveco is pleased to announce the successful completion of COSWIN 7i deployment for Hochtief, the leading German Facility Management company that was awarded the contracts for Greece's Olympic Properties (all properties built for the 2004 Athen's Olympic Games) and Athen's International Airport.
COSWIN 7i has now been in use for more than one year, marking the end of the warranty period. Hochtief has been awarded the management contracts for Olympic facilities since year 2007. COSWIN 7i provides a centralized web-based full-HTML solution to manage 17 sports venues located in 4 different cities, as well as more than 40 additional buildings. In addition to Olympic facilities, Hochtief decided to use COSWIN to replace another EAM system from the US, that the company used to maintain Athen's airport since 2000: the airport is now managed within the same centralized platform. The system is fully integrated into Hochtief corporate portal and includes 150 main users, as well as mobile users (COSWIN Mobile) working in the field. The complex implementation was completed in only 4 months.
Charis Nassis, CIO of Hochtief Facility Management said "We were interested in a proven system able to report our operations with low bandwidth access from the various sites we manage". Theodore Aliferis, Technical Manager for Hochtief, added "We now have a valuable tool to take our business one step further from our competition".
Further to meetings with his Greek counterpart in June 2008, Bruno Lhopiteau, GM of Siveco China, declared "I am very pleased to say that Hochtief and the Greek Olympic Facilities (government owned) both welcome reference visits by Chinese customers interesting in preserving and utilizing their Olympic facilities after the games have ended. Siveco China and Siveco Greece will closely cooperate to facilitate such experience sharing in the future".
