Siveco to triple its China investment in 2015
2015-06-10
Siveco, the largest maintenance consultancy in China and a leading provider of maintenance management solutions, has announced a tripling of its investment in the Chinese market during 2015. The formal announcement was made during Siveco Group's annual meeting in Paris on June 1, 2015.
Bruno Lhopiteau, General Manager of Siveco China, explained:
"After 10 years of operation in the Chinese market, our company has recently reached several milestones. We have obtained the ISO 9001 certification, our growing export business now takes us as far as Africa, and we are running the largest cloud-based maintenance management solutions in China with around 800 client sites. The new investment will help develop our operation even further."
"To be more specific, we plan to expand our Beijing operation with a new facility dedicated to building maintenance in partnership with a local university. The team will focus on the development of software solutions and related consulting services for ultra-high buildings and eco-cities, which are priorities for the Chinese government in the coming years. The new facility will showcase our application of Industry 4.0 principles to building maintenance and the convergence of cloud computing, mobility, Building Information Models (BIM) and energy management."
"Finally, this investment will also help speed up our growth in overseas markets. From China, we have already conducted projects in most Asian countries, working with Asian construction firms or with multisite clients having their regional headquarters in China. We have clients in Brunei, Indonesia, Korea, Laos, Malaysia, Singapore and new projects starting in India and Thailand this year. We are also involved in projects in Africa, namely Algeria and Sudan. We have just launched a project in Turkey and are looking at opportunities in Iran. Siveco is the only Chinese maintenance player with such a strong capability to deliver projects outside China. We plan to further strengthen our Shanghai engineering office in terms of technologies and resources, as well as developing relationship with new EPC companies, primarily for utilities and process plants."
The investment, in the form of direct capital injection, has already started and the new Beijing facility is expected to be operational during the summer. The existing Siveco project office in Beijing will merge with the new facility. The company, headquartered in Shanghai, also maintains offices in Chengdu and Hongkong. Siveco China is a company of Siveco Group, based in Paris.
