Fushun Mining Group, a large Chinese state-owned coal mining and oil shale company, has chosen Siveco for the implementation of a maintenance management system for its new ATP oil shale retorting plant currently under construction in Fushun, Liaoning province.
In addition to the maintenance system itself, Siveco will provide start-up assistance to ensure smooth handover from commissioning to operation: the scope of the contract includes the establishment of a plant database, maintenance engineering services and support during the early production phase to ensure the maintenance organization is operational from day one. Fushun engineers will be equipped with Siveco's mobile solution bluebee® "for the worker of tomorrow" to support their daily work.
Fushun Mining Group (), one of the world's largest oil shale producer, owns geological reserve for high grade oil shale about 3.5 billion tons, of which exploitable reserve is 920 million tons. The company already operates the largest oil shale plant in the world consisting totaling 120 sets of Fushun-type retorts, with annual shale oil yields of 280,000 tons. The new ATP unit, designed to treat small size oil shale, which can't be processed in Fushun retort, with a capacity of 250 tons per hour.
According to Bruno Lhopiteau, General Manager of Siveco: "We are proud to work with such an major state-owned company as Fushun Mining Group for this important project. The result of this very formal selection process confirmed our strong position in the process industry in China, most particularly for technologically-complex plants preparing for the operation phase. Our unique combination of maintenance engineering services, mobile solutions for the technicians and traditional CMMS technologies is proving to be very attractive in the specific context of China, where maintenance expertise is still lacking. We are looking forward to a long and successful relationship with Fushun Mining Group and with the Chinese oil & gas industry in general."
