French National Railway Corporation (SNCF) selects CS and Siveco to optimize train stations operation and maintenance with BIM integration

2017-04-25
Partners CS and Siveco have been selected by SNCF Gares & Connexions to implement an innovative solution aimed at optimizing the operation and maintenance of all train stations in France. CS is a designer, integrator and operator of mission-critical systems. Siveco Group develops the Coswin 8i computerized maintenance management system (CMMS).

SNCF Gares & Connexions is the division of French National Railway Corporation (SNCF) in charge of operating, managing and developing the 3,000+ train stations of the French rail network. In order to optimize its performance, SNCF Gares & Cnnexions has decided to implement a user-friendly solution to:

>    Create a central, geolocalized, repository of facilities and equipment

>    Facilitate access and update of related information from mobile devices

>    Enable client-supplier communication between operation and maintenance

>    Optimize maintenance activities : planning, assignment and rounds management

>    Integrate with Building Information Models (BIM) and Connected Objects (IoT)

>    Measure and document operation results

>    Interface with current and future information systems

The Coswin 8i solution, implemented and deployed by the CS and Siveco partnership, is a computerized maintenance management system (CMMS) and asset management (EAM) solution designed to optimize maintenance management and equipment performance.

For maintenance work execution, technicians will be equipped with mobile devices running the Coswin Nom@d app, allowing them to perform work orders whether they are online or offline.

Later, the solution will be integrated with BIM (Building Information Models) for an overall optimization of work processes, also taking into account data from Connected Objects (IoT).

Long-term partners CS and Siveco contribute complementary resources well-matched with the needs of SNCF Gares & Connexions. Integrator of mission-critical systems, CS brings specific expertise of large-scale complex environments, while Siveco provides its innovative technologies and services for maintenance management.

“We thank SNCF for their trust for this major project at the core of our development strategy in business transformation and digital continuity. CS partners with clients to support the entire life-cycle of their products and systems. CS tackles new challenges in digitalization and maintenance by leveraging BIM and Connected Objects and by developing predictive maintenance models.” according to Laurent Fiorio, Vice President at CS.

“We thank SNCF for selecting our Coswin 8i solution. 30 years of continuous investment in R&D have made Coswin 8i a leading global solution, suitable for complex large-scale maintenance needs, yet easy to deploy in the field. With our IoT and BIM integration, we help our clients prepare for the future.” adds Carlo Fichera, CEO of Siveco Group.
