The 4th China Urban Smart Water Summit was held in Zhengzhou on May 10-11, as part of the 2018 Water Supply Convention. Siveco China's Smart Water team participated in this major industry gathering to share experience of Smart O&M and BIM for Asset Management solutions in the water sector.
During this summit, Siveco held a booth with case studies and products leaflets available to all visitors. Our team members introduced our Smart O&M solutions to participants at the booth and during one-to-one meetings. A demo platform was available, featuring BIM and GIS integration, as well as our mobile O&M solution. Visitors were encouraged to try bluebee® by scanning demo asset code. Many participants showed great interests in our solutions and experience with water clients. Due to extensive water sector experience, our booth attracted a continuous stream of visitors.
Siveco China, one of the pioneers in Smart Water industry, has worked in this area for more than 10 years. Our clients include international joint-ventures (such as
Sino French Water), domestic national companies (for example
Capital Water) and municipal water companies (such as
Zhongshan Water). Smart technology has a bright future in the Chinese water industry, especially if system design and implementation are aligned with industry needs: this is precisely where Siveco brings value thanks to the company's asset management consulting background and specific water sector know-how.
While the company benefits from over 30 years of international experience, instead of replicating a Western model not adapted to China, Siveco's approach aims to address the specific needs of "Chinese characteristics". For example Siveco has setup a R&D center in Shanghai as early as 2008. Siveco will continue to put efforts in promoting best practices in Smart O&M through seminars and experience sharing.
