Siveco team in Urumqi, City of the Future
2012-11-01
On October 17-19, the Siveco team visited Urumqi, capital of the Xinjiang Uyghur Autonomous Region, China's westernmost province and hinterland of the Eurasia continent. The team visited several customers and joined a conference organized by the French Government in cooperation with China's Ministry of Commerce (MOFCOM) and the China International Council for the Promotion of Multinational Corporations (CICPMC).
According to Siveco China's General Manager Bruno Lhopiteau:
"Western China is a priority for Siveco, as the region offers enormous potential for maintenance in infrastructure projects and petrochemical plants. Our company has already built a significant customer base in the western provinces and we have setup a regional office in Chengdu, Sichuan province, in 2011.
In Xinjiang, we already have three customer sites, with retailer Carrefour, as part of a nationwide project. This visit to Urumqi marks the launch of a marketing program covering the entire West China region, with future stops in Xian, Lanzhou, Kunming, as well as, of course, our home base of Chengdu and its neighbor Chongqing.
We are looking forward to a successful cooperation with Xinjiang industrial players and government officials, who have all proven very friendly and welcoming during this visit."
