Siveco showcases bluebee® solutions at Wuhan energy efficiency event
2011-11-21
As part of the ongoing bluebee® roadshow across China, Siveco participated in the Sino-French conference on innovative solutions for energy efficiency in Wuhan on November 5, an event co-organized by French and Chinese government bodies to promote best practices and innovative solutions in the field of energy efficiency.
The 12th Five-Year Plan adopted by the Chinese government in March 2011 sets aggressive targets in relation to energy and the environment, aiming at 16 percent reduction in energy intensity (energy consumption per unit of GDP). The Wuhan municipality has been selected by the State as a pilot area for the setup of an energy-efficient and environmental-friendly society and the government has already launched many successful initiatives in the infrastructure, industrial and building segments.
The event was attended by high officials from both countries, Wuhan municipality leaders, as well as local government entities and companies involved in environmental projects. During the conference, the Siveco China team showcased the use of bluebee® technologies to implement Facility Management best practices, based on the experience accumulated with Chinese FM leaders such as Changcheng Property Group. A demonstration system was setup showing bluebee® cloud (the central Facility Management platform), integrated with Building Management Systems, bluebee® tablet (for managers on the move to keep track of performance and ongoing actions) and bluebee® (on PDA for technicians doing inspections and meter readings in the field). The showcase was well-received by government participants at the conference.
Siveco China is putting increasing efforts in developing business in Wuhan, based on the excellent results obtained with industrial customers such as Alstom Wuhan Boiler Company, Brose Automotive, FIAMM Enertech and International Paper. Siveco is currently selecting local partners to pursue government-related projects with a special focus on municipal infrastructures and state-owned real estate.
