Lunch conference on “ROI from maintenance improvement projects: a general management perspective” (Wuhan, February 24)

2011-02-14
Two speakers, Marc Bourgeois, GM of Brose Wuhan and Bruno Lhopiteau, GM of Siveco China will share some of their experience of maintenance improvement projects in China.

Bruno will offer insights from recent projects (Siveco currently has three customers in Wuhan: automotive supplier Brose, Wuhan Boiler Company and packaging company International Paper). Marc will present how his company obtained quick returns from maintenance, both from an operational and financial perspective. Presentations will be followed by a Q&A session. A case study on Brose Wuhan "Leading automotive supplier demonstrates ROI in less than a year with Siveco' SaaS solution" was published in our January 2011 newsletter.

This event is a follow-up on the conference on "Improving maintenance management in China: immediate actions to be taken in a time of crisis " organized by the French Chamber of Commerce in Wuhan in June 2009.

The Speakers

Marc Bourgeois is senior manager with a broad automotive manufacturing experience, from years at leading Tier-1 companies in North America, Europe and China (Faurecia, Magna, Valeo, Brose). As GM of Brose Wuhan since April 2008, he has been responsible for the start-up, development and operational P&L performance of a new plant producing window regulators, seat assemblies and latches for the car industry. Marc was previously Division Industrial Director at Valeo Lighting Systems, in charge of a 20 millions Euros plant expansion.

Bruno Lhopiteau has been active in the Chinese maintenance market since 1997. He took part in some of the country's largest projects, implementing maintenance systems and providing consulting services, most notably for the Three Gorges Hydropower plant. In 2004, he founded Siveco China, providing tools and services to manage maintenance "with Chinese characteristics". Siveco China has since 2008 become the largest maintenance consultancy in the country, with over 60 customers on close to 300 sites. Bruno also coordinates the Construction & Maintenance Working Group of the French Chamber of Commerce in Shanghai.
